How to use

Frequently asked questions
How is the term GPA calculated?
Each course’s grade points are multiplied by its credit hours, then the total points are divided by the total credits — so heavier courses affect the GPA more.
What’s the difference between the 4.0 and 5.0 scales?
The idea is the same but the point ladder differs: on the 4.0 scale an A is worth 4 points, on the 5.0 scale it’s worth 5. Pick the system your university uses.
How do I include previous semesters?
Enter your previous cumulative GPA and completed credit hours in the optional section, and the tool combines them with the current term to show your new overall GPA.
Do failed (F) courses count?
Yes. An F contributes zero points while its credits still count toward the total, which lowers the GPA just like university systems do.
